Art has Heart — Privacy Policy

Effective March 1, 2026

Overview

Art has Heart is a social platform exclusively for human-made art, built by Paul Yerrick. We collect only what's needed to run the app and never sell your data.

Data We Collect

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address for authentication. You also provide a username, display name, optional bio, optional profile photo, and your role (Artist or Appreciator).

Content you create: Artwork images you upload, titles, meaning statements, and genre tags are stored so they can be displayed in the app.

Activity data: Hearts you give, artists you follow, and flags you submit are stored to power the app experience.

How We Store Your Data

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a hosted database and authentication service. Artwork images are stored in Supabase Storage. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).

How We Use Your Data

We use your data to operate the app: display your profile, show artwork in the feed, deliver hearts and follows to artists, and moderate flagged content. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Tipping

Tips between users are handled through Venmo's external app. Art has Heart does not process, store, or have access to any payment or financial information. We never take a cut of tips.

Analytics

Pro artist accounts may access portfolio analytics (views, heart sources, follower growth). This data is derived from existing app activity and does not involve additional tracking.

Content Moderation

Artwork that receives multiple flags from the community may be reviewed and removed. Users who repeatedly violate community guidelines may have their accounts suspended.

Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us. We will remove your profile, artwork, and activity data.

Children's Privacy

Art has Heart is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
